How public receipt prices are published
BillzWise shows historical shared price observations to help people understand recorded prices by item and broad area. They are not current merchant offers, stock checks or recommendations.
Eligibility and privacy
The existing comparison contribution choice covers the public catalog's anonymized item, price, store or provider, broad area, and observation date. A second public-release choice is not required. Declined, withdrawn and excluded contributions stay private. Public pages do not show customer details, receipt images, payment data, reusable receipt IDs or private coordinates.
Item identity and units
Existing shared aggregates appear with the item and unit information actually recorded. A missing pack size or unit is shown as unavailable; BillzWise does not guess it. Store pages group a recorded merchant name with its broad area when the price can be attributed to that merchant. A street address or branch is not inferred from the broad area.
What a displayed price means
Shared aggregate rows retain their recorded minimum, maximum, sample count and latest observation date. Where daily history exists, the product page shows its recorded dates and price ranges. An aggregate with several samples may not contain the date of its first sample. Unknown tax or discount treatment does not establish comparable final paid prices.
Dates, coverage and corrections
Observations older than 365 days are labeled archival. Missing coverage does not mean a product was unavailable. Revoking contribution, deleting a receipt, or deleting an account removes its active shared observations.
If a product, area, unit, date or price looks wrong, send a correction through BillzWise support or email [email protected]. Include the public page URL and the issue; do not send private payment details.
